Eminem Wins Mag’s “Best Rapper Alive” Title
Mr Slim Shady has been crowned “Best Rapper Alive” by readers of VIBE Magazine. After over 900,000 online votes, Eminem took the title from runner-up Jay-Z. Third place was The Game and fourth went to Ludacris, who beat out favorite Lil Wayne. You can check out all the match ups right HERE.
While I’m sure there will be a new round of debates about who actual is or should hold the title, I think a new contest should begin: “Worst Dressed Rapper.” If such a contest were to take place, I’m fairly confident Marshall would win:
Racing gloves? Tinted glasses? Really? A bandana that makes you look like a cancer victim? I’ve always thought that when it comes to fashion, there is a fierce battle raging within Eminem between Marshall Matthers, Slim Shady and Eminem himself on what to wear each day.
I’ve personally always thought his white trash chic looked ridiculous, but I’ve let it slide because let’s face it – hip-hop ain’t a fashion show.
I figure this way, if we can get this contest rolling, we can get Slim another well-deserved title. We need to acknowledge this unique lane Marshall has created. Whch we can then mock.
