I included Busta in the Aftermath camp because I’m pretty sure he’ll be on Detox. That, plus we’ve already heard in on numerous Dre tracks on “Genesis”, so the novelty factor is not there. Lupe is a good suggestion, although he wouldn’t be my first choice.

If wayne comes hard and dosent spit some whack ass bull shit it would be good….Im kinda suprised that you didnt put busta in here…I mean he is on dre’s record label and minus arab money and whack he hasnt fucked up to much….as for the hating on kanye…808s wasnt going to be a album orignally it was gonna be a mixtape…so we cant really fault him i still look at it like a mixtape just really marketed..Another one im kinda suprised is missing is lupe..i mean the kid is good his raps are flawless..and dre is starting to get introspective…I dunno thats just me.

I think it was a good concept to bounce around.

There’s an inherent difference between the two though. Dr. Dre realizes that if he surrounds himself with the best of the west side crew it’ll ultimately only improve his work. Hence writing/producing/rapping collaborations that have produced The Chronic and 2001. However, I think Kanye thinks he’s the shit…..no….I KNOW Kanye thinks he’s the shit. So he’ll either do it on his own or throw in some auto toned Lil Wayne cuz it’s what people wanna here and it’ll ultimately gain him more money/fame.

Not to say most rappers/producers aren’t in it for making money and bragging about it, but Kanye just moves it from lolz to douchy.

I;ve said it often and I’ll say it again. I did not feel 808s. So, I’m with you that I’m not feeling him right now. But at his best – his best – he is a rapper than can stunt with the best of them.

It may turn out that you’re totally right. But my point was that his musicality and innovation is a lot like Dre’s. Don’t forget Dre at one time was talking about crafting a “Hip-Hop Opera” who was dancing in a tux in one of his videos.

I think that Kanye will be mostly forgotten when some other similar artist takes his place and he retires early because he’s lost his touch.

Then the cycle will start over.
